Frequently Asked Questions

What can I do with a Makeup Artist Certificate?

Having a certificate in Makeup Artistry shows people that you were dedicated to gaining the necessary skills and tools to apply makeup at a professional level. With this certificate, you will attract clients seeking professional services, employers who are impressed with your skills and experience, and gain access to industry events, memberships, education opportunities, discounts and more!

What materials do I need for the course?

Each student will be required to have a makeup kit each day of the course. Students have the option of purchasing a kit from IMA or supplying their own. To purchase a kit from IMA, please visit here. Please note that you must be registered for an IMA course to purchase a makeup kit from IMA.

What comes in the Makeup Kit?

If you chose to purchase the Graftobian ProClass HD Makeup Kit with your course, it comes with everything you need for your professional kit to create full-face makeup looks. It's valued at $575, but we're offering it to our students for a special rate.

Click here to view IMA's Student Makeup Kits.

When will I receive my Makeup Kit?

Orders placed 14 days before the start of class will be delivered on the 1st day of class. Items ordered after that time are not guaranteed on the 1st day but generally take about 3-5 days to be delivered. If you registered for class late, and placed a kit order late, we will make kit accommodations for you until your kit arrives.

Can I use my own makeup kit?

Of course! We always give students the option to use their own kits, even in our in-person classes. Please keep in mind that our recommended kit has everything you will need to complete the course.
