Start with a Good Base
The first step in creating any look is applying the base layer of makeup. Skin is very in and the look isn't complete without a good base. This includes foundation, concealer, and powder. Start by applying a thin layer of foundation all over the face with a makeup brush or sponge. Then, use a concealer or corrector on any areas that need extra coverage such as dark circles or blemishes. This method of spot coverage helps prevent a cakey finish. Finally, set the base by using a translucent powder and add a spritz of makeup setting spray to ensure that your makeup stays in place for the entire Valentines Day.
Create Eye-Popping Eyes
It's always fun to go all out with our eye makeup on the holidays. Here's an easy way to get eye popping eyes - start by using an eyeliner pencil to line your upper lash line. Then, smudge it out with a small eyeshadow brush to create a smokey wing effect. You can do this with any color - black, brown, or even fun shades like purple or blue. Next, apply mascara or lashes to complete the look!

Glam Up Your Lips
What's more synonymous with Valentines' Day than a red lip! I think magenta would also be completely appropriate, and it's the 2023 Pantone color of the year! To get the perfect application, start by making sure your lips are exfoliated and hydrated. Then line your lips with a lip liner that matches the color of your lipstick. Then fill in your lips with a creamy lipstick shade of your choice. Blot your lips, and apply one more layer of lipstick to ensure that it lasts. Clean up any smudges outside of the lip line with a q-tip then line your lips one more time to ensure a symmetrical lip outline.
